About Us
I found my passion for electronics in the army and I continued to have the same passion working at IBM. I pursued what I enjoyed doing. I mean, I pursued my passion for 22 years. After relocating my family to upper New York State, it didn't end. I wanted to continue what I knew and so, we lived off the grid for those 10 years. My experience comes from not only working with electronics, but living it with my family.

Since then, we have moved to Arizona, and have started a solar company. I believe in it and I know first- hand how it works and why it works . Our company builds custom portable solar generating systems. The whole thing about this is the ability to build a system that could benefit or have an impact on people using this system is what drove me here today.

The whole notion of just being able to do neat things with what I know and what I have experienced is truly an amazing adventure. And so, like people have said, its not really work, you know, if you are having fun. But the truth is, I am, and thats because I love what I do.

Julia Hutton is considered by some to be one of the finest marketing minds to ever hit Planet Earth. At S.O.S., Ms. Hutton blends this God-given skill with her passion for solar energy. Hutton believes that the Creator gave the planets the Sun for a reason and that human-kind went off in the wrong direction when it developed a dependency on fossil-fuel and other non-renewable forms of energy. Julia hopes that the S.O.S. venture will result in helping society as a whole understand that we have all we need with alternative forms of energy and we can wean and correct ourselves readily, from all activities that deplete and damage Mother Earth. Being a 60’s grad from the University of Wisconsin, her mantra is, “Power to the People. Naturally!”
